Welcome to Modern Virtue!
I’m Selda Koydemir, a psychotherapist, researcher, and lecturer based in London, with a PhD in mental health counselling and over 20 years of experience.
But most importantly, I’m someone who’s endlessly curious about what makes life meaningful, relationships rich, and wellbeing sustainable.
I’m also known for calling out pop psychology myths and quick fixes, loving solitude, collecting bookmarks, and enjoying other people’s dogs.
Modern Virtue isn’t your typical space for self-help advice or oversimplified solutions. It’s where I explore the deeper questions about mental health, emotional resilience, and how to live a fulfilling life.
I draw from psychological science, philosophy, and my own work as a therapist to offer perspectives that I hope will challenge and inspire you.
If you’re tired of surface-level content and looking for something different, you’re in the right place.
